"The Joyful Blessings of the Gospel" (Romans 5:1-11)

What brings you the most joy? This Sunday we dive back into our sermon series in Romans. The first part of the letter (ch. 1-4) was all about the content of the gospel: our need and how faith in Jesus' work on the cross saves us. This second section (ch. 5-8) focuses on the results of the gospel--the peace, hope, freedom, and life we receive in Christ. This week's passage will show us why Christians should have overflowing and enduring joy in God!

"The Future Reign of God's People" (Genesis 49:1-28)

Have you ever wished you could predict the future? In our passage this Sunday, the great patriarch Jacob delivers his final words to his sons. It's a blessing, sort of, but more of a prophecy about the future of God's people--even about our future, Ruggles Baptist Church, today.

Blessing Undeserved, Undeterred (Genesis 26:34-27:40)

Favoritism. Greed. Deception. Despair. Our passage is full of ugliness—all within one family, and the family of promise no less! God's blessing perseveres even in the midst of this mess, and our messes, too. This Sunday, Genesis 27 offers us a strong warning against sin and a consolation of God's undeterred plan of blessing for his people.
